UFHCC Cancer Research Showcase 2018

What: The UF Health Cancer Center is proud to present the 2nd Annual Cancer Research Showcase. We will host 10 K-awardees from across the nation. This will be a unique opportunity to meet some very promising early stage cancer researchers, and show them how great it is to live and work in North Central Florida. The invitees will give brief talks about their work, attend presentations by UF faculty, tour the ICBR, and learn about the excellent faculty development opportunities at the University of Florida.This event is open to faculty, staff, Cancer Center members and affiliates, and lab members and trainees. Lunch will be provided to registered attendees. Please register by Nov. 9th.

Community Events
Great American Smokeout!
When: Nov. 16 | 9 a.m. — Noon
Where: UF Health – Davis Cancer Pavilion, Lobby
What: The University of Florida Health Cancer Center is encouraging people to quit smoking and decrease their risk of developing lung cancer by participating in the Great American Smokeout, an annual event designed to draw attention to the health risks of smoking. Those who need assistance with smoking cessation will receive a “quit kit” from the American Cancer Society. Other activities include an interactive painting experience, a photo booth and materials about preventing lung cancer.
