New Videos Showcase the Cancer Center
Professionally produced videos highlight unique qualities of our center
Over the summer Jessica Barton, the UF Health Cancer Center’s marketing manager, worked with numerous staff and volunteers to film a series of videos for the UFHCC. Over five days, crews captured researchers, labs, clinic spaces and expert testimony from leadership to create videos to help differentiate UFHCC from other centers in the area. Some of the topics covered included: 1) What’s an academic medical center? 2) Why should you participate in research? 3) What does multi-disciplinary care and a tumor board mean for my care?
The videos are all viewable on YouTube, with finished products including a longer video for each topic, a slightly shorter video for each topic, two :30 second videos with no interviews included and a timelapse of sunrise over the UF Health Shands Cancer Hospital and the sunset over the Cancer and Genetics Research Center. Still images from each set-up were also captured.
Cancer center members can show these videos at conferences, embed them on lab websites and use them to illustrate the academic medical difference to patients. Plans to have the videos featured in clinic waiting spaces and on the UF Health website are currently underway. If you have any questions, please contact Jessica at jessbarton@ufl.edu.
