Eighth Annual BMT Winter Workshop
About: The University of Florida Health Cancer Center is proud to host the Eighth Annual BMT Winter Workshop. The event will occur prior to the 61st Annual Meeting of the American Society of Hematology (ASH). This informal meeting is formatted as previous workshops with numerous short talks on late-breaking research in bone marrow transplant. Presenters will discuss recent clinical and pre-clinical data pertinent to hematopoietic stem cell transplantation and cell therapy (TCT). Wilmot Gardens
Where: Wilmot Gardens Greenhouse
When: Every Tuesday, 1-2 p.m.
Details: Wilmot Gardens is a free, indoor therapeutic gardening program for cancer patients and others. It is a most worthwhile activity for the mind and spirit, and no experience is necessary! Caregivers are welcome. There is a small parking lot adjacent to the greenhouse that you can park in for free during the lessons. For more information, please contact Leah at 352-294-5003.
Bárbara Padilla Concert
About: The Climb for Cancer Foundation is hosting a concert starring Bárbara Padilla on Sunday, Sept. 29 at Santa Fe College Fine Arts Hall. All proceeds from this concert will benefit UF Health pediatric oncology programs.
Fueled by the battle against cancer, Bárbara will be performing her favorites from her hit album, “Bárbara Padilla.”

About: Please support breast cancer research at the UF Health Cancer Center by joining Survivors for Research at the Great Outdoors’ Pink Patio Party on Thursday evening, Oct. 17. There will be a lively band, raffle prizes, pink drink specials and a very delicious triple layer strawberry cake for purchase whole (order in advance) or by the slice!
All proceeds directly support ongoing breast cancer research.
