University Scholars present cancer research
View the presentations from the 2020 Spring Undergraduate Research Symposium
The UF Health Cancer Center’s University Scholars Program aims to educate the next generation of professionals in the importance of biomedical research and scientific discoveries, specifically focused on cancer.
On April 2, the current cohort of 12 undergraduate scholars participated in the UF Undergraduate Research Symposium.
This year, the symposium was held virtually due to COVID-19. There were over 350 virtual posters and around 400 presenters. Each of the students had a webpage that had their poster, a short video presentation and, importantly, a live comment box to allow for real-time comments. Half of the students were assigned to present the first hour while the other half was the audience, then the students switched for the second hour. Student presentations could be searched by college or by individual names.
